Item Availability Setup List

To provide flexibility over item availability calculations, the Item Availability Setup has been created which allows users to create different availability scenarios. The Item Availability Setup Card allows users to specify which supply and demand sources to consider in availability calculations.

These setup codes can then be selected on the Item Availability Matrix:

The Item Availability Setup Card can be accessed from the Item Availability Setup List page. It has three FastTabs:

General Section

FIELD NAME	FUNCTION
Code	A 20-character field to represent the Item Availability Setup Card.
Description	A description of the Item Availability Setup Card.

Demand Sources Section

FIELD NAME	FUNCTION
Sales Order	Has the following options: Exclude - Sales Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Shipment Date - Sales Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their shipment date. Availability Date - Sales Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their availability date. Availability Date defaults to Order Date but can be overwritten by the user.
Blanket Sales Order	Has the following options: Exclude - Blanket Sales Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Shipment Date - Blanket Sales Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their shipment date. Availability Date - Blanket Sales Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their availability date. Availability Date defaults to Order Date but can be overwritten by the user.
Assembly Consumption	Has the following options: Exclude - Components on Assembly Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Due Date - Components on Assembly Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their due date.
Service Lines	Has the following options: Exclude - Items on Service Lines will not be considered in the availability calculations. Need by Date - Items on Service Lines will be considered in the availability calculations based on their needed by date.
Planned Production Order Consumption	Has the following options: Exclude - Components on Planned Production Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Due Date - Components on Planned Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their due date.
Firm Planned Production Order Consumption	Has the following options: Exclude - Components on Firm Planned Production Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Due Date - Components on Firm Planned Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their due date.
Released Production Order Consumption	Has the following options: Exclude - Components on Released Production Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Due Date - Components on Released Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their due date.
Purchase Return Orders	Has the following options: Exclude - Purchase Return Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Expected Receipt Date - Purchase Return Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their expected receipt date.
Transfer Shipments	Has the following options: Exclude - Transfer Orders with amounts remaining to be shipped will not be considered in the availability calculations. Shipment Date - Transfer Orders with amounts remaining to be shipped will be considered in the availability calculations based on their shipment date. Availability Date - Transfer Orders with amounts remaining to be shipped will be considered in the availability calculations based on their availability date. Availability Date defaults to Order Date but can be overwritten by the user.
Job Planning Lines	Has the following options: Exclude - Items on Job Planning Lines will not be considered in the availability calculations. Planning Date - Items on Job Planning Lines will be considered in the availability calculations based on their planning date.
Requisition Consumption	Has the following options: Exclude - Line Components on the Planning Worksheet will not be considered in the availability calculations. Due Date - Line Components on the Planning Worksheet will be considered in the availability calculations based on their due date.
Demand Forecast	Has the following options: Exclude - Inventory with demand forecasted will not be considered in the availability calculations. Forecast Date - Demand will be included in the availability calculations based on the forecasted date.
Sales Master Order	Has the following options: Exclude - Items on Master Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Planned Shipment Date - Master Orders amounts that have not yet been used to create Sales Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on the Planned Shipment Date.

Supply Sources Section

FIELD NAME	FUNCTION
Purchase Order	Has the following options: Exclude - Purchase Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Expected Receipt Date - Purchase Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their expected receipt date.
Blanket Purchase Orders	Has the following options: Exclude - Blanket Purchase Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Expected Receipt Date - Blanket Purchase Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their expected receipt date.
Assembly Output	Has the following options: Exclude - Output on Assembly Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Due Date - Output on Assembly Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their due date.
Planned Production Order Output	Has the following options: Exclude - Output on Planned Production Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Starting Date - Output on Planned Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Starting Date. Ending Date - Output on Planned Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Ending Date.
Firm Planned Production Order Output	Has the following options: Exclude - Output on Firm Planned Production Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Starting Date - Output on Firm Planned Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Starting Date. Ending Date - Output on Firm Planned Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Ending Date.
Released Production Order Output	Has the following options: Exclude - Output on Released Production Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Starting Date - Output on Released Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Starting Date. Ending Date - Output on Released Production Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Ending Date.
Planned Grow Order Output	Has the following options: Exclude - Output on Planned Grow Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Starting Date - Output on Planned Grow Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Starting Date. Ending Date - Output on Planned Grow Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Ending Date.
Firm Planned Grow Order Output	Has the following options: Exclude - Output on Firm Planned Grow Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Starting Date - Output on Firm Planned Grow Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Starting Date. Ending Date - Output on Firm Planned Grow Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Ending Date.
Released Grow Order Output	Has the following options: Exclude - Output on Released Grow Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Ready Date - Output on Released Grow Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their Ready Date.
Sales Return Orders	Has the following options: Exclude - Sales Return Orders will not be considered in the availability calculations. Shipment Date - Sales Return Orders will be considered in the availability calculations based on their shipment date.
Transfer Receipt	Has the following options: Exclude - Transfer Orders with amounts remaining to be received will not be considered in the availability calculations. Receipt Date - Transfer Orders with amounts remaining to be received will be considered in the availability calculations based on their receipt date. Availability Date - Transfer Orders with amounts remaining to be received will be considered in the availability calculations based on their availability date. Availability Date defaults to Order Date but can be overwritten by the user.
In-Transit Inventory	Has the following options: Exclude - Transfer Orders with amounts in-transit will not be considered in the availability calculations. Receipt Date - Transfer Orders with amounts in-transit will be considered in the availability calculations based on their receipt date.
Requisition Lines	Has the following options: Exclude - Items on Requisition Lines will not be considered in the availability calculations. Due Date - Items on Requisition Lines will be considered in the availability calculations based on their due date.

Note

For the purposes of Space Capacity and Planned or Firm Planned Production Orders, the selection does not matter for Starting Date or Ending Date. The spacing defined on the lines will determine the space used over time.
