Labor & Overhead Rates

Labor & Overhead Rates can be used to identify labor factors for Growing Plants. That labor factor can then be assigned on the Item Card or Spacing Schedule (which then pulls in on the routing) which is used by the Create Overhead Labor function in the Output Journal to post against the Growing Plants.

The Labor & Overhead Rates page has two sections.

General

FIELD NAME	FUNCTION
Code	The code to identify the Labor & Overhead Rate.
Description	The description of the Labor & Overhead Rate.
Overhead Method	Per Base Qty. - the rate is based on the quantity of plants. Per Sq. Unit - the rate is based on the square units the plants occupy.
Blocked	If checked off the system will not pull this rate in during overhead labor calculations.

FIELD NAME	FUNCTION
Direct Cost	The amount to post to the Direct Cost Applied account for the Overhead Distribution Work Center's Gen. Prod. Posting Group based on the selected method.
Overhead Cost	The amount to post to the Overhead Applied account for the Overhead Distribution Work Center's Gen. Prod. Posting Group based on the selected method.
Start Date	The starting date the rate should be used for. Can be left blank.
End Date	The ending date the rate should be used for. Can be left blank.
